The movement for universal design–clothing, furniture, medical devices, housewares, and architecture that are accessible, beautiful, and nonstigmatizing–is gaining steam, enough to warrant an exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, as reported by the New York Times.
