Here’s the recording of our FSH Society webinar on August 1, 2018. Dr. Leung is a neurologist at Kennedy Krieger Institute Center for Genetic Muscle Disorders and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is the principal investigator of an ongoing research study using whole-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to evaluate skeletal muscle changes that occur over time in people with FSH muscular dystrophy. Her research seeks to improve our understanding of the patterns of muscle involvement in FSHD and to develop non-invasive imaging biomarkers that can be used to study FSHD in clinical trials. In this webinar, Dr. Leung gives a clear, engaging talk about how MRI is being used to study muscle disease and future directions for research in this field.
