In this recorded webinar, Julie Hershberg, PT, DPT, NCS, presents evidence-based benefits or physical therapy and exercise for patients with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). Dr. Hershberg is a neurologic physical therapist, founder and owner of re+active physical therapy & wellness and adjunct instructor of clinical physical therapy at the University of Southern California. Current clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of patients with neurologic disorders including FSHD, movement disorders and other chronic diseases. She received the 2019 Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy Clinician of the Year award.
Dr. Hershberg has worked with many clients who have FSH muscular dystrophy and teaches courses in physical therapy for FSHD patients. She has spoken at our Los Angeles Family Day conference and we’re always impressed by her knowledge and dedication to patients. I have FSHD and have enjoyed your videos through the Society.. I have been doing PT 2x/ wk for a couple years. A great team but no background in neuro. I hav just moved to Fort.Myers, FL for 6 months of the year and I’d love to find a neuro based therapist near the zip of 33913 in Fort Myers. Can you direct me to such a person in this area?
