I have two of the Ottobock 5055 Acro Comfort braces. These are joined at the back with velcro tape (my personal touch to have them act as a unit and not two separate braces) and these I use for rehabilitation purposes. They create a good amount of stability in the shoulder joint and around the scapula. This has helped me prevent subluxation and reduces my winging dramatically. I have been able to increase what I can do and drastically improving my rehabilitation allowing me to further improve on creating the neurological pathways to the muscle I have left. Before I started using the braces, fatigue was a huge limiting factor because once it set in the shoulder would sublux and wing alot. The braces help prolong that rehab time.
The Ottobock 5065 Omo Neurexa is more for everyday use when needed for extra stability. I used to wear it daily but as my rehab has improved due to 5055 I no longer use 5065 as often these day. But I use it if I ever need it. The 5065 is more comfortable as the load is distributed between the bicep and forearm, which is why it’s for more all day use.
Here’s a video of me putting on the two 5055’s and connecting them with the velcro strap:
