At a recent Feeling Fit Zoom gathering, Cheryl Clulow, who had logged in from her home in Cape Town, South Africa, mentioned that she has derived a lot of benefit from “rebounding.” This was a new concept to me and I wanted to learn more.
Rebounding, Cherly explained, is a form of exercise that involves jumping on a mini trampoline. She shared that she started her rebounding journey 7 months ago. She use a rebounder with a sturdy handlebar attached to prevent falls. She moves her rebounder next to her bed so that she can transfer from a sitting position on the bed onto the rebounder. Otherwise, she says, the rebounder is too high for her to step up onto from the floor.
Hi this sounds promising. What improvements have you seen or feel as am considering buying one? Thanks
I’ve been doing physical therapy after hip replacement surgery in May’23 & ‘24. I originally started as I had heard that the facility I use had recently hired a therapist that works with people who have neurological diseases, I started back in 2022 with her & now her associate. This mini trampoline exercises your using could be helpful to me as for April and May I’ll be going down to 1session a week down from 2. I have a nutrient nustep, upright stationary bike and a Reike table to do mat exercises. Adding the mini trampoline might help me get a complete circuit for my routine. I have 2 questions; have you tried both types of mini tramps, is the bungee better supported? And the bar you show on your trampoline, did that come with it or as an option or did you have it made and if so what are the materials and the dimensions also is it adjustable up/down? Thanks, Bill C
