UPDATE: This session is cancelled because Frank is stranded in Florida and without power due to Hurricane Milton. We hope he stays safe and look forward to seeing you all in two weeks.

In the October “Feeling Fit” sessions, we will be celebrating the two-year anniversary of the “Feeling Fit with FSHD” program. We appreciate everyone who has joined this group! Frank Hanley will present “Breathe, Stretch and Flex” exercises to help strengthen breathing, stretch and flex the neck, shoulders, abs and core.

Frank Hanley is a martial artist, author, and teacher of Taijiquan (tai chi), kung fu and multiple Qigong styles and practices.  He organized and launched the FSHD Society South Carolina Chapter and served as Chapter Director.

“FSHD is always attacking me… it never takes a day off.

I practice Tai Chi, Kung Fu and Qigong daily.  It’s my way to fight back.”  -FH

For people living with FSHD who are interested in exercise and fitness, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 12:00 pm (noon) U.S. Eastern Time. Come dressed for exercise and have on hand any safety and assistive devices you need. Not every exercise is appropriate or safe for every individual, so please use your best judgement and consult your health care provider.

Please come prepared with a stable chair or stool (back of chair is optional).
