Feeling Fit with FSHD: Waking the Qi with Jennifer Eash

Join us for “Waking the Qi: A Vibrant Practice to Activate Internal Energy,” with Jennifer Eash. Jennifer will lead a 50-minute seated yoga and Qigong practice designed to promote relaxation, stretching, and inner balance. This practice awakens internal energy, helping you feel vibrant and refreshed for the day ahead.

The session begins with a seated routine of Yogic breathwork warmups and gentle stretching, followed by “Waking the Qi,” a Qigong sequence that supports kidney function, spinal health, the central nervous system, and cellular respiration. This routine will then be repeated in an optional standing version, with participants free to remain seated if they prefer.

About Jennifer Eash

Through Jennifer’s transformative experiences with Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Reiki, and Ayurveda, she discovered the profound impact of holistic healing. Her passion lies in guiding others as they navigate their own paths to health and balance.

Jennifer is a VA CCN Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor, teaching Tai Chi to Veterans, and serves as Board Chair of the National Qigong Association’s Board of Directors. In addition to her leadership role, she teaches yoga and offers Reiki sessions to support holistic wellness.

For those feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or out of sync, Jennifer provides gentle yet effective approaches to healing—incorporating breathwork, meditation, movement, and healthy living practices. Her goal is to help individuals clear stagnancies, strengthen their bodies, manage stress, and face life’s challenges with greater ease.

For people living with FSHD who are interested in exercise and fitness, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 12:00 pm (noon) U.S. Eastern Time. Come dressed for exercise and have on hand any safety and assistive devices you need. Not every exercise is appropriate or safe for every individual, so please use your best judgement and consult your health care provider.

Please come prepared with a stable chair or stool (back of chair is optional).
