UPDATE: We have reschedule for October 9 due to Rosh Hashanah falling on October 2 this year.
After a move or new environment, we have to adjust to a new environment, including costs for personal care needs, and instrumental ADL’s such as housekeeping. We’ll also discuss finding new doctors,. making new friends, and acclimating to a new social life.
We will open 30 minutes earlier than the official start time, for an open forum to chat, get to know each other better, share amongst the great collective of women who participate.
This is our mutual support and social group for women of all ages who are living with FSHD. We created this women-only space to discuss health, self-care, and any other topics that we find easier to discuss with other females. Our group is hosted and facilitated by a group of volunteers. We may suggest articles and conversation-starters to get each meeting going, but this is truly your space to share what’s on your mind.

About Ranae, Ora Prilleltensky writes: “Ranae solicits topics for discussion; sends polls to gather information on what is most interesting and relevant; researches topics and sometimes solicits guest speakers; sends articles and follow-up emails; and takes notes which she later shares with the group. I’m sure that she does even more behind-the-scenes work related to the smooth functioning of this group.”
